Registered Firearms Dealer Services

Service, Repairs, Storage, Transfers

Matt has been making firearms for over 25 years.  He started off in a small workshop near Stansted Airport adapting and modifying target rifles, such as Remington and AR style rifles, and has now moved to a new workshop in a small indoor range complex namely Redricks Ranges, just north of Harlow.

Matt and his team are so confident in their rifles that not only do they unconditionally guarantee their products and work, they also use those firearms in competitions, winning a host of medals to prove it.

Matt is usually available in the workshop when Redricks Ranges is open; during this time he is available for RFD services, shooting, ammunition and air fills.  Casual visitors are not permitted and unless visiting Redricks Ranges to shoot, Matt and the team ask that you pre-arrange your appointment before you start your journey.

The Ranges are usually open from Saturday to Monday and on Wednesdays from 10:00 until 16:00.  For small-bore and pistol calibre carbines, as well as air guns, there is often range space for a test before you buy session (certain licensing restrictions apply).

Armoury Storage Solutions

If you are coming back to shoot with us regularly and don’t want to carry your rifles with you each time or perhaps you are moving home and need a short-term fix for your firearm security, we can offer a storage solution to suit your needs. Space is limited just now, partly because of the delays experienced in renewing FAC/SGCs and the requirement to lodge all firearms securely while waiting. Matt usuallt has armoury space for short- or long-term insured storage and offers preferential rates for Redricks Target Shooting Club members.

Collection and drop off times can be negotiated, and both airguns, ammunition and firearms can be safely stored in the armoury.

Service and Repair

From air bottle refills to rebarrelling, Cerakoting and reproofing are just a few examples of the services Matt can offer. Whatever your needs, come speak to Matt and the team, and they can advise accordingly.

Transfers/Shipping

Matt can offer a delivery and collection service for firearms and controlled components through the Dealer Account with Parcel Force. If you bring in or want to collect a firearm, air gun or component make sure you bring your FAC or other authority to possess and photo ID.

When buying or selling a firearm or other item that needs to get listed on the FAC of the buyer, the seller must fill out the buyer’s FAC (Table 1) and both buyer and seller should inform their respective certification (licensing) authorities. This is a condition usually listed on the buyer’s FAC. The correctly filled out FAC will be sent back to the buyer separately from the item bought and will be presented to the dealer when it is time to collect the firearm. It is NOT the dealer’s job to fill out the sales details or inform the licensing departments, only to complete their register as usual and check the details match the transaction.

For sending: Once Matt has received the item, he will check it in. He will then package and arrange collection by the courier who will deliver within 24/48 hours from collection, depending upon the service used. This service starts around £30 (plus VAT) per inland shipment (subject to change by the carrier) with certain surcharges for remote areas and extra insurance should you so wish.

For receiving: Let us know you want to receive an item, the sender will need to forward to us a copy of their RFD. Collection/Delivery Day can then be arranged and the item shipped to us. When it is received, you will need to bring your completed FAC (or other photo ID for non-FAC items) along to the workshop and collect your items. There is a small charge for this service, shipping costs will be at the sender’s end unless we are asked to arrange collection and shipping (costs as for sending).
